Fall of 2004

Nick got his first real six string
Bought it in Edinburgh
Played it till his fingers bled
It was fall 2004

Ping Pong down in the basement
Justin, Tony, and Jake
The moved fast paddles were flying
Forest Gump woulda took 2nd place

Oh when I look back now
That fall seemed to last forever
And if I had the choice
Ya-I'd always wanna be there

Those were the best days of my life

Ain't no use in complainin'
When you got dinner duty
Spent my evenins' down at Mayson's
And thats where I met Fritz- ya

Standin' on the Duke's porch
I looked at the box with confusion
Turned out they had changed the code
So I started banging on the door
Those were the best days of my life
Back in the fall of 2004
Me and Tim and Ryan
Went into Mary's flat for some wine
Power hour with cider
We shoulda know that it'd never end well
Back in the fall of 2004
Henry has a five alarm chili
Sausage rolls and Thursday sandwich bars
And God we loved our hot chocolate
So much that we broke the machine

And if the Duke only knew
About our drunken nature walks
Flip Flops gone along with the flashlight
Making out by the light of the moon
Those were the best days of my life

Back in the fall of 2004

Man we were killin time
We were young and restless
We needed to unwind
I guess nothing can last forever
And now that things are changing
Look at everything that we've done
MacBackpackers, Edinbrugh Castle
Three sisters and the Tron

Standin in Edinbrugh
Waiting for that God Dam taxi
15 sure is a lot
Cause this Fuckin exchange rate sucks

Those were the best days of my life
Back in the fall of 2004
